Napa wedding: Lauren + Vince
I am so lucky to live in Lake Tahoe. It was fated, I’m sure of it, as my parents met and fell in love less than ten miles from where I currently live. After moving around the country for two decades they decided to call Tahoe home for good in 1995. Or rather, they finally had an opportunity to act on their dream and they took it. Although I left for college, much like they had, I missed the mountains and returned to call it my permanent home as long as I am able.
I also know there are many other lovely places in the world, and many where people choose to marry. I first talked to Vince in July 2014 about proposing to his girlfriend Lauren in Napa. He had it planned months in advance, and I had met Lauren at her brother’s wedding a couple years earlier. Apparently Zach keeps a rotating reel of his wedding photos (especially the dance shots) in his office, and Vince asked for a recommendation.
We planned it all out, and I drove down to the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa one hot sunny day at the end of August 2014. The rest is history, and they even wanted engagement photos in Tahoe, in some of my favorite places.
Long story short – I instantly loved these two. They were sweet and so in love, and we had so much fun on their proposal and engagement shoots that they wanted me at their Napa wedding, too.
Vince and Lauren tied their lives together officially last August, nine days shy of the day he had proposed to her the year before. I loved wandering the grounds of Beaulieu Garden and the vines of Beaulieu Vineyard with my talented colleagues Johnny B Hicks and Anicia Beckwith.
Although it’s not Tahoe, I think this Napa wedding venue is right up there. The scenery is as beautiful as this couple, inside and out—and that was just icing on the cake. Thank you Lauren and Vince for a truly wonderful day.
