Lauren + Vince – Lake Tahoe Engagement

Last July I received an email from a nice young guy named Vince who wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the Meritage Resort in Napa over Labor Day weekend. He knew I had photographed her brother’s wedding reception a couple of years back in Tahoe, and was I willing to travel to capture this special moment? I sat on a dock at Donner Lake that afternoon, chatting with Vince over the phone. It only took me a fraction of a second to decide I was up for the extra effort- after all, the more challenging a task, the more rewarding.

Fortunately for us, Lauren didn’t recognize the awkward stranger Vince asked to take their picture in the vineyard; she didn’t know he had a ring in his pocket, and she definitely didn’t see that I was hiding a big camera in my bag! Vince pulled off the perfect moment in a beautiful setting, and it was totally worth the drive.

Because Lauren’s family spends a lot of time in Lake Tahoe, they knew they wanted some engagement photos this spring near the lake. It doesn’t matter how many times I photograph these two, their photos always turn out beautifully.
